Qualifications

Federal Staffing Resources is seeking a Women's Health Care Nurse OBGYN to provide services at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, or a satellite OB-GYN clinic located at Branch Medical Clinic under NMCP in Virginia.


The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Possess certification as an Obstetrics/Gynecology Nurse Practitioner or Women's Health Care Nurse Practitioner by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC).
  • Provide three letters of recommendation from practicing physicians. At least one of the letters must attest to the HCW’s clinical skills, productivity, knowledge base, and rapport with co-workers and supervisors. The other letters may be from other physicians. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number date of reference, address, and signature of the individual providing reference. Reference letters must have been written within the preceding 3 years.
  • Healthcare Workers shall maintain current certification in American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers; American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Course. Other certifications may be acceptable if specified in the task order. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or Military Training Network emblem.
  • Healthcare Workers shall be current with and have completed all continuing education requirements specified by their professional licensure or certification
  • Possess a Master’s, Post-Master’s or Doctorate degree from an advanced practice nursing program accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Possess current unrestricted license to practice as an Advance Practice Nurse in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
  • Possess and maintain current certification (in the specialty corresponding to the specialty required by the Task Order) as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
  • Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross Healthcare Provider or Military Training Network (MTN)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs as well as proficiency in the use of a computer.
